عندما تصل بطاقة غامضة مثقوبة، تكتشف لين المولعة بالألغاز أنها تخفي خريطة سرية للسماء لا تُقرأ إلا على ضوء المصباح، تقودها خطوة بعد خطوة إلى صندوق كنز مخبّأ بين جذور شجرة بلوط في الحديقة.

لين loved a good puzzle more than almost anything, so when she found an envelope on the doormat, no name, no stamp, just a black card poked with tiny holes, her heart thumped. "Milo," she whispered, "this is a real mystery." Milo blinked slowly, which لين decided meant yes.

Up in her attic bedroom, لين turned the card over and over. It looked like nothing, just a plain black rectangle with little punched dots. But she once read that nothing is really nothing until you shine a light on it. "Worth a try," she said. Milo yawned one word: "Obviously."

لين clicked on the brass lamp and held the card between the bulb and the wall. Tiny stars bloomed across the wallpaper, scattered and glittering like a whole night sky had leapt indoors! "Milo, look!" she gasped, her voice barely a breath. "It's not just dots, it's a sky!"
