Kofi and Sam's Wardrobe Door

Ages 3–8

When Kofi finds a glowing door at the back of the wardrobe, he and Sam must climb, read, and puzzle their way through a hidden hollow, discovering that together, they can solve anything.

Children learn that sharing different strengths, like climbing and reading, makes hard problems solvable together.

Rain tapped the window. "Bored, bored, bored," sighed Kofi, poking through the old wardrobe. His fingers found a crack in the back panel-and light spilled through like honey.

"Look!" whispered Sam. The panel swung wide into a door of pure gold light. Kofi grabbed Sam's hand. "Together, always together!" they whispered, and through they went.

They tumbled into the Whistling Hollow-mossy stones, crooked ladders, vines curling every which way. A signpost stood nearby, carved with squiggly shapes neither child understood.
