Linas Willkommens-Gänseblümchen

Alter 3–5

Als nebenan ein Umzugswagen vorfährt, pflückt Lina die sonnigsten Gänseblümchen aus ihrem Garten und trägt sie, die ganze Zeit an Mamas Hand, über den Rasen, um auf die herzlichste Art Hallo zu sagen, die sie kennt.

A big truck rumbles up the street, huffing and puffing to a stop. Lina peeks through the window. "Someone new!" she says. "Hello, hello!" she whispers, wondering who it could be.

"Let's go see, my curious one," says Mom, taking her hand. Down the porch steps they go, hand in hand — "Hello, hello!" Lina sings to the sunny path.

Lina stops by the daisy patch, bright and yellow as the sun. "These will say hello," she whispers, choosing the prettiest ones for her basket — but her tummy feels a little fluttery too.
