Pauls hydraulischer Baumhaus-Kran

Alter 6–8

Paul loved building things. But the treehouse platform in the old oak tree needed heavy tools, and his arms just weren't strong enough. "Ugh, this bucket weighs more than me!" he groaned. Coco tilted her head from the wood pile. "Told you climbing with that thing was a bad idea," she squawked.

"There has to be an easier way," Paul said, plopping down on the tarp. He spotted the coiled garden hose glinting in the sun. "What if water could do the lifting for me?" Coco ruffled her feathers. "Water? That's just going to make a puddle," she said. But his eyes were already sparkling with an idea.

Paul filled two syringes with water and joined them with clear plastic tubing. "Watch this, Coco," he said, pushing one syringe gently. Nothing happened -- the tube wiggled and a tiny drip leaked out. "Ha! Told you," Coco squawked. Paul wiped the water and grinned. "That just means I need to seal it tighter."
