In the garden where the tomatoes grew, Caramel was digging like she always do. Dirt flew up in a happy spray— what did Caramel find on this bright summer day?

A crinkly paper, old and brown! Louise smoothed it flat upon the ground. A dotted trail wiggled here and there. 'A map!' cried Louise. 'Let's follow it, Caramel!'

Sniff, sniff, sniff went Caramel's nose, tracking a trail that only she knows. Out the gate and down the lane— Louise held tight to Caramel's leash and its chain.
