Amelia and the Star-Stitcher’s Quilt

Ages 3–5

After Amelia finds a dangling thread of light hanging from the midnight sky, she joins a gentle Star-Stitcher on a rooftop quest to pull the stars back into place, finding comfort in the quiet rhythm of mending the dark.

Children discover that they have the power to help mend their own world, turning the overwhelming vastness of the dark into a familiar and comforting blanket.

The moon was a glowing button sewn onto the velvet sky. Amelia looked up from the roof and saw something strange. A long, silver thread was dangling down, swaying in the cool night breeze.

Suddenly, a tiny friend zipped down from the thread. It was Pip, the Star-Stitcher, looking quite worried. Pip held a silver needle-wand and pointed to a hole in the dark fabric of the night.

Pip showed Amelia the glowing wooden bobbin. "We must fix the sky before the stars fall out," Pip hummed. Amelia took the bobbin, and it felt warm and steady in his hand.
