The snow fell softly, covering the village in a white blanket. Noah sat by the warm hearth, painting a star for the holiday tree. It was the most special star he had ever made, painted with colors of the sunset.

The village tree stood in the center of the square, waiting for its final ornament. Noah wrapped the star in a soft cloth. He felt very proud to give such a gift to his neighbors.

Barnaby the hare hopped over to the gate. He twitched his nose, inviting Noah to walk through the snowy woods. Noah stepped out, the air crisp and cold against his cheeks.
