Ava and the Clockwork Forest
Ages 6–8
Using gear-work, springs, and steady hands, Ava creates a shimmering, self-winding forest that lights up the dark valley and guides a lost owl back to its nest.
Patience and engineering can solve problems, proving that small, thoughtful inventions can bring brightness and comfort to the world around us.

Ava loved how gears fit together. Click, clack, turn! He sat in the Silent Valley, holding his winding key. He saw a little owl named Barnaby blinking in the dark, looking for a way home. Ava decided he would help.
First, Ava built a tall brass tree. He fit the gears into the trunk and pushed the spring deep inside. He turned his key. The tree groaned, then started to tick, tick, tick, spinning its metal leaves.
The brass tree glowed with a soft amber light. It did not look like a normal tree, but it was warm. Barnaby fluttered closer, his big eyes reflecting the golden shine. He seemed to like the ticking sound.
