Chloe found a dusty map in the attic. It showed the forest path and strange symbols for numbers. Chloe packed his leather-bound journal. He was ready for the counting quest!

Deep in the woods, Chloe found the first stone. It had one mark and the word Un on it. Chloe traced the mark. He whispered, Un, meaning one in a new language.

He wrote in his journal, Un is one. He felt clever. The forest seemed to hum back at him. Two more stones were hidden nearby, waiting for him to find them.
