Kai's Choice Adventure

When Kai faces three small crossroads in one golden afternoon, he learns to listen to his thinking-stone, choose with a kind heart, and feel how good that choice feels all the way through.

Children see that a kind, honest choice leaves a warmer feeling inside than an easy one, and that he can carry that feeling forward.

Kai lived in a cottage that smelled of cinnamon and rain. Every day held tiny crossroads, small moments to choose. Today would bring three. His thinking-stone hummed soft against his chest, waiting.

In the kitchen sat a plate with one cookie left, round and speckled with sugar. Kai's tummy rumbled loud. Bramble's nose twitched too. "Only one," whispered Bramble. "What will you choose, Kai?"

Kai held the stone. It felt warm in his palm. Share the last cookie, or eat it all alone? "Choose, choose, choose - what does your heart say?" whispered Bramble, watching his glowing face.
