Lucia's Picnic of Families

Ages 3–7

At a sunny summer picnic, Lucia discovers that families come in every shape and size, but every single one is held together by the same warm thread of love.

Every family looks different, but love is what makes a family real — including yours.

The sun woke up round and gold. Baskets packed, blankets rolled — it was picnic day at the Big Oak meadow! Lucia skipped across the grass, signature kite in hand, ready for something wonderful.

"Every family is coming today!" said Mira, hopping over a basket of strawberries. "Come meet them all!" Love was the one thing every single family would bring — Lucia just didn't know it yet.

Love, love, family love — it comes in every kind! First they found Priya and her mama and her other mama, blowing bubbles that popped like tiny rainbows. "Two moms means double the hugs!" Priya laughed.
