Jayden's Big-Kid Bed

Ages 2–4

When Jayden moves into a big, brand-new bed, it feels as wide as the sea-until a glowing lighthouse nightlight and brave Captain Mane help him sail bravely through the night.

Sleeping in their own big-kid bed can feel like a brave, proud adventure, not a scary one.

Jayden stood by a brand-new bed, big as a wooden boat. "That's MY bed?" he whispered. It felt too wide. Too tall. Too much like the great big sea.

Captain Mane the lion sat waiting on the pillow, kerchief knotted neat and brave. "Climb aboard," he seemed to say. So Jayden took a breath and climbed up, up, up.

Click! The lighthouse nightlight glowed gold on the little table. Its beam swept slow and steady, like a wink through the porthole dark. "Hello, lighthouse," whispered Jayden.
