Diego's Dinosaur Day at the Museum

Ages 3–7

When the museum lights dim and the doors lock tight, Diego discovers the dinosaur skeletons wake up hungry to remember what they used to eat, and it's up to him to read the clues in their teeth before sunrise.

Kids learn to tell herbivores from carnivores by looking closely at teeth, practicing real scientific observation through playful clue-hunting and a little trial and error.

The museum was closing. Lights dimmed low. Diego stayed behind, tying his boot's bow. 'Before the sun comes up, we must recall—or these dinos might forget it all!'

Longnecka blinked his big bone eyes and gave a slow, creaky sigh. 'Oh dear, oh dear,' he said, 'I simply cannot recall—what did I eat, before it all went dark? By morning, I fear I'll forget it all!'

'I can help!' said Diego, hopping up with glee. 'Let's look for clues—that's the key! Teeth tell tales of what dinos would eat. Flat and wide, or sharp and neat!'
