The Turtle Who Cooled the Lava

Ages 3–5

When Finn's tallest block tower tumbles down, a hot red volcano starts rumbling in his tummy — until a wise garden turtle teaches Finn to take slow, cool belly-breaths and calm the lava inside.

Children learn a simple, playful breathing technique to calm big feelings of anger and frustration.

"Cool puffs, slow puffs," Finn liked to hum, stacking his blocks with a tap of his thumb. Red, blue, and gold, the tower touched the sun. "Tallest ever!" he cheered. "Look what I've done!"

CRASH! A big bouncing ball rolled right through, knocking every block down — clattering, scattering, blocks in a heap too! Finn's tower lay flat where it used to stand tall. His fists balled up tight. He didn't hum at all.

Deep in his tummy, something began to churn — bubbling, boiling, starting to burn! A little red volcano woke with a growl, rumbling and grumbling, ready to howl.
