Nia and the Little Bird's Quiet Twig
Ages 3–5
Nia zips and zooms from toy to toy until her legs feel wobbly-tired, then a tiny sparrow on a garden twig teaches her the soft magic of sitting still.
Children learn to notice when their bodies feel wound-up and to use quiet stillness, breathing, and gentle body awareness to settle down.

Nia loved to run and jump and spin! She loved the whoosh, the wind, the cheer! Toy to toy, she zoomed all day— the ball, the hoop, the kite, the swing— never stopping, always chasing the next thrill.
Faster, faster, round and round! She bounced from the toy chest to the swing to the ground. Zip, zip, zip — her feet never stopped, till her legs went wobbly, and her energy dropped.
Then — wibble, wobble! Her knees felt shaky, her arms felt weak. She stopped right there beside the pond, too tired to run, too tired to bound.
