Chloe's Pocket Stone of Quiet Strength

Ages 3–5

When school gets too loud and busy, Chloe learns to hold a smooth beach stone from Grandma Nell and rub it soft, rub it slow, until her own quiet strength comes back.

Children can learn that a small, familiar object and a slow breath can help them feel steady again when the world feels too loud.

Down by the water, where soft waves creep, Grandma Nell searched in the sand so deep. "Here's one for you," she said with a smile, "a stone smooth and calm, to keep for a while."

"Rub it soft, rub it slow, feel it smooth wherever you go." That's the little rhyme Grandma taught that day, a quiet song to help worries float away.

Into the pocket the smooth stone went, snug and safe, its whole day spent. "Whenever it's loud, whenever it's much, just find your stone and give it a touch."
