Ben's Letters for the Whole Street
Ages 3–5
Ben sets off with a grown-up to deliver hand-drawn letters down Maple Street, worried the drawings aren't good enough — until a wagging tail and a kind old friend show him that even a shy wave can turn neighbors into friends.
Small, kind gestures — a drawing, a wave, a gentle greeting — help children feel connected to the people and pets around them, even when they start out shy.

On Maple Street when mornings glow, Ben holds the satchel low. "What if my letters aren't quite right?" He bites his lip and grips it tight.
Grandpa Theo taps his cane just twice. "Your letters, Ben, are plenty nice. A smile, a wave, a letter too — that's how we say hello to you!"
First stop: Miss Nora's coral door. Ben pauses, then slides one more — a letter with a sun so bright, right through the slot and out of sight.
