Ravi's Secret Treehouse

Ages 3–5

With a bundle of fallen branches and a heart full of ideas, Ravi builds a cozy hideaway high in the old oak—and discovers the best treehouse is one shared with a feathery friend.

Children see that creativity and sharing turn ordinary found materials into something wonderful, and that building together beats building alone.

The cover of "Ravi's Secret Treehouse"

Ravi loved the big oak tree, with its branches so wide and free. "I want a hideaway," said Ravi, "just for the birds and me!"

No toys, no boards, no shiny new things—just twigs and leaves that autumn brings. Higgledy-piggledy, Ravi began to build. "I'll make a hideaway," he said, "with branches and with will!"

Higgledy-piggledy, stack them high! Branches for the walls, leaves for the sky. Ravi tapped each twig with a tap-tap-tap, weaving them together, snap by snap.
