Kai's Great Playground Save

Ages 3–5

Kai dreams of being the goalie hero, but when the ball slips through, he learns the best players are the ones who cheer loudest for their friends.

Trying bravely, missing sometimes, and cheering for friends is what makes a great teammate.

Kai loved playground days best of all — the smell of grass, the dazzling checkered ball, and the goalposts standing tall and white. Today, he would be GOALIE. He tapped his tin whistle twice for luck.

"You're our goalie, Kai!" called Nia, clapping her hands. "Stop every ball you can!" Oskar grinned and wiggled his untied shoelace. Kai's tummy did a nervous little flip-flop.

Nia blew the tin whistle's twin — an old brass bell — and shouted "GO!" Kids scattered like popcorn across the grass. Kai planted both feet between the white goalposts, ready.
