Ruby and the Wild Honeybee Guardian

Ages 3–5

Ruby is scared of every buzz in the garden, until a kind beekeeper and a fuzzy bee named Clover teach her that bees are gentle helpers who deserve a garden of her own.

Children learn that curiosity and small brave steps can turn a fear of insects into caring, confident kindness for nature.

Ruby loved the garden — the roses, the dirt, the little stone path. But the moment she heard a buzz, her feet would freeze, and her heart would go pitter-patter-quick.

One morning a low hum drifted over the fence. Buzz, buzz, buzz! Ruby peeked through the pickets and saw a strange wooden box, humming like a tiny, busy song.

Out came Mr. Alder in his big net hat, like a soft cloud around his face. "Don't worry," he said gently. "My bees are kind. Want to meet one, safe and sound, right here?"
