Theo and the Singing Train of Crystal Canyon

Ages 3–5

When Theo is chosen as the honorary engineer of a magical singing locomotive, he discovers that every toot of his snail-shell whistle wakes sweet music from a glittering crystal canyon.

Children delight in cause-and-effect sound play and learn that gentle curiosity, paired with a caring grown-up nearby, can turn a big new place into a place full of wonder.

Deep beneath the hills, where the rock glows rose and plum, a little round train waited with steam curling like a hum. "Climb aboard, Theo!" called Old Ferro with a grin. "Today you are our engineer — the music must begin!"

Theo climbed inside and sat right by the round cab window, snail-shell whistle warm against his chest. Pip the mouse conductor hopped up with a happy squeak. "Ready to make music, little engineer? Choo-choose a tune!" He nodded, eyes shining bright.

Theo sat at the window and blew the whistle. Toot! ...but nothing happened. Not one chime, not one glow. He took a breath, listened close, and tried again, soft and slow.
