Mateo and the Dragon's Frosty Surprise
Ages 3–5
When Mateo meets a young dragon who is teased for breathing icy mist instead of fire, a shared strawberry ice pop helps them both discover that being different can be the sweetest thing of all.
A gentle story about celebrating what makes each of us different, showing kids that an unusual strength is still a wonderful strength.

Mateo, in his sunny yellow tunic and small brown boots, loved exploring, ice pop in hand. Then a rumbly sound rolled down the hill — he wanted to know just where it began!
Behind a rock, Mateo found a dragon, small and blue and low. Puffs of frosty mist, not fire, drifted soft as snow. "Hello!" said Mateo brightly. "Want a new friend? Say so!"
Blizzo counted his icicle horns — one, two, three — a nervous little puff-hiccup, quiet as could be. "Every dragon breathes hot fire. Every dragon, except me." Different can feel lonely — small and blue as blue can be.
