Sami and the Quest for the Lost Storybook Page

Ages 3โ€“5

When a mischievous breeze blows the happy ending right out of Sami's favorite storybook, Sami climbs into the painted pages to help a brave little knight and a gentle lion find it before the last light fades.

Children learn that stories have a beginning, middle and happy ending worth working for, and that being brave and kind helps solve problems.

Every evening before the lamps grew low, Sami curled up in the reading chair to watch the story glow. This was his favorite book of all, because of its happy ending in the castle nook so small. Then a mischievous breeze came whooshing through, rattling the window and stirring the pages too โ€” and blew the very last page right out of view!

"Come back!" called Sami, reaching with a hop. The page swirled through the cover โ€” and he could not stop! Down he tumbled, heels over toes, into a painted, page-bright world that glowed and rose.

Sami landed soft on painted grass, beneath a sky of brushstroke clouds. A tiny knight came marching up, waving to the crowds. "I am Sir Pageturner!" he said. "Our happy ending's blown away! Won't you help us find it? Page by page, we'll find our way!"
