Chloe and the Singing Pearl

Ages 3โ€“5

When Chloe discovers a giant oyster who has lost his morning song in a glowing lagoon, she must find the courage to sing first so the oyster's golden pearl can glow and sing again.

Children see that using their own voice with kindness and courage can bring music back into the world, and their voice is always worth sharing.

Down in the lagoon where the sunbeams play, Chloe swam swishy on a bright turquoise day. Pip hummed a hush-hush, sweet and small โ€” "Follow the light!" and off they did swirl.

Something glowed gold behind the coral bend. "What's that?" whispered Chloe to Pip, her friend. They swam a bit closer, quiet and slow, to see what secret the lagoon would show.

A giant old oyster sat still on the sand, his shell held soft and still, closed near shut. Inside was a pearl, once golden and bright โ€” but now it was silent, without any light.
