Zara and the Loom of the Rainbow Weaver

Ages 3โ€“5

When Zara climbs into a cloud workshop, a gentle weaver teaches her to thread rainwater and sunbeams into brilliant double rainbows for the valley below.

Children build confidence in fine-motor pattern skills (over-under, color order) through a joyful, repeatable creative ritual.

High above the valley, where clouds curl soft and slow, lived a workshop full of color, with threads that seemed to glow. Zara climbed the misty stair, curious and bright, to see who wove the rainbows that painted the sky each night.

"Welcome, welcome!" Mira said, her needles clicking near. "I am the Rainbow Weaver, and I've waited for you here. Would you like to learn my craft, the pattern old and true โ€” over, under, color bright, a rainbow made by you?"

Mira placed a shuttle small, carved like a swallow's wing. "This is yours to keep, dear one, a tool for everything. Over, under, over, under โ€” that's the weaving song. Sing it with me, Zara, as we thread the loom along!"
