Lin and the Sugar-Plum Palace Banquet

Ages 3–5

Lin climbs a marshmallow mountain to a sugar-plum palace, and when the pudding seems too small to share, she discovers that a treat given away tastes sweeter than one kept all alone.

Children learn that generously sharing treats and welcoming others turns any celebration into something sweeter and more festive than keeping it all to oneself.

Lin hopped up Marshmallow Mountain, boots sinking soft and sweet. 'Up, up, up!' she cheered, swinging her candy-cane stick. Somewhere above, a palace of sugar-plums sparkled, waiting.

'Wheee, it's squishy!' giggled Lin, bouncing on a marshmallow ledge. The path grew steep and springy — perfect for bouncing, tricky for climbing! Who would help her climb higher?

Out popped Bramble the rabbit, candy-cane tail twitching. 'Lean on my back!' she squeaked. 'Is it sweeter shared?' Together they climbed, one wobbly, giggly step at a time.
