Omar and the Ultimate Chain-Reaction Contraption

Ages 6–8

A kid who refuses to leave his cozy bed builds a wild, room-spanning chain-reaction machine to feed his dog, discovering how one small push can wake up a whole world of motion.

A gentle, funny reminder that small, careful pushes (and a little clever problem-solving) can set off big, joyful results — and connection is worth getting up for.

Omar loved his bed. It was warm. It was soft. It was NOT a place he planned to leave — not even for breakfast. "Biscuit," he whispered, "today, breakfast comes to you." Biscuit thumped his tail twice: agreed. He grinned and reached for his lucky launcher marble, still tucked in his pajama pocket.

"Here's the plan," Omar said, pointing to his tower of shelves. "A marble waits at the top — just resting, ready to pounce. That's called potential energy!" He set the marble at the very top of the wooden marble-track tower and gave it the tiniest push.

The marble zoomed down the track — whoosh! — faster and faster. "Push a little, get a lot — that's the chain!" Omar cheered. It shot off the end and smacked into the very first domino, which teetered... and toppled.
