Amara's Wind Farm Control Room
Ages 6–8
When a wild storm gust threatens to overload the coastal power grid, Amara builds a model wind farm and figures out the pattern that keeps fifty real turbines balanced so the town's lights stay on.
Children see that renewable energy and calm, logical problem-solving (patterns, testing, adjusting) can protect a whole community.

Amara loved windy days best. Standing on the pier, her brass anemometer clicked in her hand. Far out, fifty giant turbines spun in the bay. 'Faster wind means more power,' she whispered. Today the wind felt wild. It was growing stronger by the second.
A horn blared from the lighthouse. Nella burst out, waving her inside. 'The gust is too strong!' she called. 'If the turbines spin too fast, the whole grid could go dark!' Her heart thumped. Excitement and worry, all at once.
Amara dashed inside, breathless. The control room buzzed. Screens flickered red, and the wall-sized model of the wind farm showed fifty little turbines spinning wildly out of sync. 'We need a pattern,' Nella said, 'so no turbine takes too much wind at once.' Her eyes went wide with focus.
