Liam poked the dirt with his finger. Nothing happened. He had planted his seed yesterday, but the brown patch of earth was still just quiet, empty dirt.

He wanted a flower right now. The waiting felt like a heavy, tickly bubble inside his chest. He sighed, wishing the seed would just hurry up and sprout.

A gentle hum filled the air. A little bee landed on the rim of the pot. It seemed to say that even the biggest sunflowers started as tiny, sleepy seeds.
