Sebastian and the Library of Lost Tongues

Ages 6–8

When Sebastian finds a magical library where words are hidden in numbered boxes, Sebastian learns that counting and new languages are the keys to opening every door.

Learning a new language is like solving a puzzle, and numbers are the universal code that connects us all.

The library was full of whispers. Sebastian held his brass key and looked at the tall shelves. Every box had a number on it. If he could count them, he could open them.

He found a small blue box marked with the number One. Inside was a tiny card that said Hello in a new way. Hola, the card whispered. Sebastian smiled. Hola!

He moved to a red box with the number Two on the lid. Inside, he found two shiny red cherries and a word that sounded like music. Bonjour, said the card.
