Ezra and the Gift of the Lantern Tree
Ages 6–8
On the eve of the Winter Festival, Ezra sets out to craft a handmade gift for the village tree, learning with the help of Grandma that the best holiday treasures are the ones made with love and shared with friends.
A heartwarming story about the value of handmade gifts and the joy of creating community traditions.

The first snow fell like soft feathers on the village roof. Ezra watched from the window, his heart full of winter magic. It was time for the festival! Grandma smiled and set out a basket of wooden stars. We have a gift to make, Grandma whispered to Ezra.
Ezra picked up a brush. He dipped it into gold paint and swirled it onto a star. Grandma painted stripes of deep red on another. The house smelled of pine needles and warm honey. Ezra felt the joy of making something special, just for the tree.
Every star told a story of the cold winter days. Ezra painted tiny dots of white like falling snowflakes on his ornaments. Grandma laughed as a drop of paint landed on his nose. It is a messy business, making beauty, Grandma told him kindly.
