Aleksander i labirynt wirującej monety

Wiek 6–8

Gdy Aleksander odwiedza uniwersyteckie laboratorium pełne migających maszyn, przyjazny robot Blip pokazuje mu, jak wirująca moneta trzyma w niepewności między dwoma kolorami, a razem wykorzystują prawdziwy przypadek i sprytne myślenie, by rozgryźć zawiły labirynt.

"Welcome to the lab, Aleksander!" Blip's screen-eyes lit up as the big glass doors slid open. Machines hummed. Lights blinked in every color. "Today," Blip said, "we're going to play a spinning coin game. Ready to find out what chance really means?" Aleksander grinned and stepped inside, eyes wide.

On a workbench sat a silver coin, glowing blue on one side and orange on the other. "This coin has two faces," said Blip, "and only one will show when it stops. Watch closely." Aleksander leaned in, chin on hands, waiting to see which color would land.

The coin landed with a soft clink. Blue side up! "That's one clear answer," Blip said. "But watch what happens the moment before it lands." Aleksander's eyes narrowed. What could possibly happen in that split second before the coin decided?
