In the garden where the tomatoes grew, Pipoca was digging like she always do. Dirt flew up in a happy spray— what did Pipoca find on this bright summer day?

A crinkly paper, old and brown! Alice smoothed it flat upon the ground. A dotted trail wiggled here and there. 'A map!' cried Alice. 'Let's follow it, Pipoca!'

Sniff, sniff, sniff went Pipoca's nose, tracking a trail that only she knows. Out the gate and down the lane— Alice held tight to Pipoca's leash and its chain.
